* Sunday, September 18, 2005 * Didn't know it's mid-autumn festival until I was awoken by the stench of burning incense. It has got to be either the first or the fifteen day of the month. Every year, on this day... me and my sec sch best friend will meet and play candles and sparkles together. Childish it may seems but we really enjoy doing it. It's fun playing with fire legally outside. Hah. Then we'll just talk till... hmm. my godma calls to ask for my whereabouts. It's like a catching-up session for the both of us too. When the moon is 'yuan', we also 'tuan yuan'. Hee. This year's mid-autumn festival seems a lil low-key... I don't see big fancy parties being held at he void-deck... I don't see kids going around with lanterns... I don't see children gathering to play with fire... I don't hear those battery-operated lanterns' irritating high pitched music... All I see is mooncake. Oh yah. and the moon... Know what? In church, we saw the most happening phenomenon. I was searching for the moon the whole night... It just wasn't in sight. Then I saw Sherwood Towers glowing from the breakfast area in the church... I was like.. "Look!" Then all of us turned and we literally saw the full moon rising!!! in like.. 5 mins!!! It's super amazing lor. It's was initially covered by the building, then we could see it rising so quickly until it go right above the building! WOW. Wished I took a picture of it. But it'll be too small anyway. There's a full moon arising... out of the stormy sea.... oops. sorry. correction: out of the building. Labels: Random
